Teddi Mellencamp feels grateful to ring in another new year. After experiencing a “near-death” encounter in 2025, this Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s views have shifted. Above all other resolutions, Teddi now hopes to view her world with “grace,” not drama.
Mentally and physically speaking, 2025 was one of Teddi’s lowest years yet. Originally diagnosed with skin cancer in 2022, last year, Teddi’s cancer journey took on a new, frightening form: Stage 4 melanoma with tumors appearing in her lungs and brain alike. Now, Teddi is ringing her bells, in more ways than one, for 2026.
Teddi has a lot of gratitude heading into 2026
Teddi posted a collection of images from last year, penning, “2025 was not my year. Near-death has that effect on you. But as I close it out, I’m trying my best to be grateful for every moment that I’ve been blessed to have been given since.”
Teddi then admitted that she isn’t “sure what 2026 will hold.” Regardless, she “will never stop sharing with you the good, the bad, and the ugly. Being open and vulnerable helps me cope, and hopefully helps even one of you know you’re not alone in what life has you facing.”
To close, Teddi urged her followers to stay diligent with their health. As she stressed, “And of course, this is also a reminder to get those skin checks. Have you made your 2026 appointment yet? Then, in a separate post, Teddi further declared, “My word for 2026: GRACE.”
Teddi admits that “2025 was hard.” So now, she wishes “Grace for myself. Grace for others. Grace, even when my mind is telling me to offer anything but.”
