Former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel was forced to leave St. Barths earlier than scheduled. The reality star planned to celebrate the New Year at the popular holiday hotspot with daughter Bryn Hoppy. However, some sad news and a serious health concern forced her to cut the trip short.
Bethenny left St. Barths earlier than expected due to a bacterial infection on her face
Bethenny posted a carousel of photos on IG showing the great time she was having on vacation.
In the post’s caption, the former reality TV star shared that she received some heartbreaking news and also came down with a bacterial infection on her face. The sad news appears to be the recent passing of Bethenny’s friend and makeup artist Jason Kaplan. She also recently posted a series of photos and videos for him.
Still, despite leaving early, Bethenny still enjoyed her time at the “Hunger Games of holiday socialization” and found “moments that mattered.” She was thankful to spend time with Bryn and ring in 2026 surrounded by “good people,” despite noting many not-so-good people also at St. Barths.
“This trip reminded me of something I’ve always known but sometimes forget,” she wrote. “It’s not about what you are doing, it’s about who you’re with. And real happiness doesn’t come from the setting, the plans, or the noise. It comes from within.”
Bethenny also shared a photo of what appeared to be a bacterial infection she suffered. She had a red rash and bumps on her cheek up to her eye. Hopefully, it’s easily treatable and not a lingering and hard-to-treat facial parasite like the one Brandi Glanville has been battling.
