Last night, on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Season 5 concluded with the cast members attending a play. Written by Angie Katsanevas, The Sisters of Salt was a thinly-veiled parody of the Housewives themselves.
Following the performance, Mary Cosby addressed the elephant in the room, confronting Meredith Marks about her recent strange behavior. While most were concerned that Meredith had issues in her life that were affecting her, only Meredith’s loyal lapdog Lisa Barlow defended her.
Meanwhile, on the following episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen wanted to know, “Whose side are you on: Meredith’s or everyone else’s?” Guest John Oliver wasted no time responding, “Everyone else’s, emphatically!”
John Oliver isn’t impressed by Meredith Marks on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
When Andy asked John to explain why he felt so strongly, he replied, “Because Meredith is just completely wrong about almost everything she’s been talking about this season. I’m totally on everyone else’s [side].”
In fact, John was disappointed that the poll results reflected that only 83% of the audience agreed with him. “The Marks family have got a lot of phones,” he quipped.
Moving on, Andy pointed out that Bronwyn Newport and Meredith “had very different versions of their conversations. So, who do you believe: Meredith or Bronwyn? … Do you think Meredith is trying to get info out of Bronwyn about what happened at the lunch?”
“Like a CIA mole,” John shot back. “She was trying to force information out of her.”
Once again, Andy asked John, “Based on what you’ve seen, are you concerned about Meredith?”
“Yeah,” he admitted. “I’m concerned.”
However, when Angie mentioned that Meredith had “made some questionable decisions on the plane” back from Canouan, all John could do was giggle uncontrollably. Apparently, he fully endorsed Angie’s point of view.
Something definitely happened on that plane, no matter how much Meredith denies it. In fact, the RHOSLC cast is reportedly so divided that no one wants to film with Meredith anymore.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
