If you hadn’t heard, The Valley: Persian Style features a few fan-favorites from Shahs of Sunset. Only three alums of the former Bravo show, though, made it to the reboot. As fans rundown which former cast members they expected to return, one person has to be addressed: Mike Shouhed.
An OG Shah, Mike’s fame came to a halt in 2022 when he faced domestic violence charges against his ex Paulina Ben-Cohen. They settled the case out of court and he avoided jail time, but the damage was done. While he might not be involved in The Valley spin-off just yet, has he found his way back to his original friend group? Mercedeh “MJ” Javid just gave an interesting update.
MJ no longer has anything to do with her former Shahs of Sunset co-star
MJ recently spoke about her current relationship with Mike. According to her, it’s practically nonexistent, as she has him at an arms length 3 years post-scandal.
“I chose not to support Mike in his journey, but I’ve always wished him well and sent messages of love and healing. That sounds corny, but I really, really do,” she told Decider.
The reality TV star is clearly singing a different tune than she did before. Back when Shored’s allegations first came to light, she defended him, adding that she didn’t think he was violent at all.
Nevertheless, while she’s closed the chapter with him, MJ shared that some other Shah alums haven’t. Apparently Shervin Roohparvar, who had a shocking allegation of his own, is still chatting with him. Surprisingly, Mike is also allegedly on good terms with Reza Farahan, despite their “backstabber” blowup.
“He checked in with me when my news of the divorce and the separation came into the media. He’s still friends and talks all the time with Reza and also with Shervin [Roohparvar].”
The Valley: Persian Style airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream on Peacock the next day.
