Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, Joe openly flirted with Kizzi, while Max also flirted with danger by ignoring his bosun. However, Joe and Kizzi’s interactions are starting to rock the yacht, as is the weather, and also their last charter guests of the season. Here’s what happened on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 17, “Bubble Trouble.”
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 Episode 17?
A storm has rolled in, complicating the last charter of the season. Likewise, winds of change are also blowing inside the yacht, as romances and friendships alike are starting to shift. Not helping matters, one of the stews suffers an injury, right as strong personalities board.
Kizzi hurts her toe

Max was pouring his heart out to Cathy, but her raccoon-acting self chose to “speak to the nuggets” instead. Overreacting, Max is now second-guessing everything.
Nathan texts Gael. She stayed in Barcelona. He smiles and heads back to work. A storm is rolling in, so the yacht has to stay at the dock.
As Max scrubs the yacht, French music plays, and images showing happier times with Cathy air. Wildly, Max only wants to be “good friends” with Cathy now.
In the galley, Josh’s inner demon, Dominic, returns. As he preps, Kizzi literally runs in. And when she does, she stubs her toe on his garbage can, immediately noting that it hurts.
The New Yorkers, otherwise known as the final charter guests of Season 10, arrive. Some have mafia ties, and all have accents, which the crew imitates in their confessionals. They nail it, minus Max, who sounds like a cowboy mixed with Bullwinkle J. Moose.
Kizzi’s toe is killing her. But being around Kizzi is killing Joe. He promised V he wouldn‘t hook up with Kizzi. But their “tension” is palpable, and he’s just a boy.
The guests ask to speak to the manager

Using an app, Marissa, one of the guests, tells Aesha that the rain has stopped, so “Why can’t we go out?” It’s the wind, Aesha explains. Annalise, another guest, chimes in, asking, “If she can’t handle wind, what is she a captain for?” Coming in with another tap on her app, Marissa questions, “What are we doing?”
The guests ask to see Captain Sandy. “We have an offer,” Annalise tells her, adding, “The offer is to move the boat. There’s no other/or.” Pausing so as not to kill them, probably, Captain Sandy shuts them down, letting them know that it’s still very windy out at sea, so it’s “not safe.”
But Captain Sandy has an idea. After lunch, Nathan will take all who dare out on the tender, and they can see just how right she is.
Down below, Max gossips about Cathy being “stuck” in his head. Cathy overhears and hysterically breaks the fourth wall, smiling wide-eyed at the camera. She stops to serve another family-style lunch to their guests. “That could’ve been plated,” Captain Sandy sighs, heading downstairs to fuss at Josh.
Leah Shafer, Captain Sandy’s wife, texts. She’s coming to Barcelona to spend time with her best girl. Their relationship is solid, but Max is still spiralling about Cathy. Joe can relate, since “the more [he] got to know” V, the “less” he liked her, and the more he liked Kizzi.
These situations are not the same. But okay. Out in the sea, the waves throw the guests around like ragdolls. “I guess Captain Sandy knows best,” Annalise admits.
Bubble troubles

Nathan lets V drive their tender. She’s come a long way. And she feels “super grateful” for Nathan.
Joe and Kizzi are jonesing for each other. As they talk about the wildest places they’ve done the deed, Nathan enters. He hears them, so he’s mad again, because Joe, who is now making a marriage pact with Kizzi, is refusing to take his advice.
Gael tells Nathan that she is going surfing with her guy friends. He plays it cool, but you can tell he hates it. Kizzi is also not faring well, as her toe has gotten worse. And then here comes Jen, another charter guest, telling Aesha that she is also struggling, because Concetta, yet another guest, is in her tub, which is overflowing with bubbles.
Aesha and Kizzi handle it. But there’s something brown in that tub that definitely makes me gag.
Down below, Joe warns Nathan to “play it by ear” with Gael. She might mess up with one of her surfer friends, he suggests, making Nathan ask in his talking head, “What the hell?”
The beginning of the end for Nathan and Joe on Below Deck Med

The guests pepper Josh with “weird” comments. He heads back to the galley, where he asks Cathy not to distract him. Aesha backs him up.
Captain Sandy asks the deck team to stay awake until the girls go down. But Max doesn’t want to. Annoyed, Nathan sends him away, just like the guests do their tarts. Annalise further takes it upon herself to head to the galley, where she asks Josh for “King Crab Legs tomorrow.”
But Josh is all out. So Annalise is going to bed mad. In the middle of the night, Kizzi wakes up in excruciating pain. In the morning, Captain Sandy sends her to the doctor.
But luckily, Max and Cathy are back on. And the weather has cleared, so off the dock they go. Later, Josh refuses to attend the beach picnic. So, Cathy struggles while serving his meal.
Meanwhile, Max “strikes” and takes a nap on the boat. Then, returning to the beach, a “horny” Joe tells Nathan that he’s excited to see Kizzi later. “Might be time to move on from that friendship,” Nathan admits.
Below Deck Mediterranean continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
