When Season 2 of Extracted premieres, it will have two reality stars working together as a team. While 11 survivalists face harsh conditions in the wild, two of their loved ones worked and competed to secure supplies. Survivor legend Sandra Diaz-Twine and her daughter, Nina Twine, are teaming up in Headquarters. Their goal? To help Eric Rivera. Meanwhile, Eric, Nina’s boyfriend, was left somewhere in the Canadian wilderness. In Extracted, the last team standing wins a cool $250,000.
Reality Tea chatted with Eric, Sandra, and Nina about Eric’s wilderness experience. Plus, Eric revealed whether Survivor could be in his future.
Eric Rivera is considering a run on Survivor

Of course, Queen Sandra competed on Survivor four times and was the first contestant to win two seasons. Meanwhile, Nina competed on Survivor: Australia twice and won The Anonymous. And while Eric embraced his alone time in the wilderness, he was not an experienced survivalist.
“Before we went out there, we actually were looking through books, reading, watching videos, trying to prepare as much as possible,” he explained. Naturally, he did have some worries about surviving in the wilderness. “I would say hunger and the bears,” Eric stated.
So, would Eric ever consider signing on for Survivor? Nina thinks he might. “I think he would consider it, only because of the social aspect, and the challenges that you get to do,” she stated.
As for Eric? “You know, I always told people that I wouldn’t be interested just because it was Nina’s and Sandra’s thing,” the autobody technician stated. “But I got a little taste of what it could be, and I’m just a really competitive person.” Eric added, “And I think that would be really fun, and who knows? One day, maybe I’ll apply or get a phone call.”
Extracted Season 2 premieres on Monday, January 26, at 8/7c on FOX, while Survivor Season 50 premieres on Wednesday, February 25th, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
