RHOP’s Stacey Rusch Explains Controversy Surrounding Jassi Harris’ Wedding

In the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Stacey Rusch landed in the hot seat for the umpteenth time. This time, it was over Jassi Harris’ wedding and whether or not she actually wanted to be there.

Supposedly, Stacey didn’t plan on attending the wedding until she found that it would be filmed for the show. Then, she suddenly cleared her schedule to make sure she’d be there for the big day.

It’s a shady accusation, so when Stacey appeared on the January 24 edition of Watch What Happens Live, she tried to set the record straight. Unfortunately, her explanation might have just created even more confusion.

Stacey Rusch wants to “clear this up” on WWHL

A WWHL audience member asked Stacey to address the controversy surrounding Jassi’s wedding. The fan asked, “Why did you tell Jassi that you didn’t know Ashley [Darby] was going to her wedding when the flashback showed that you did?”

“Okay, so I want to clear this up,” Stacey said, before making things more confusing.

She explained, “I had a conversation with Wendy. Wendy said, ‘One of the GnA crew members are going to be going to the wedding. I think that you should really reconsider your schedule, and you should show up. You’ve got to show up for someone who you claim is your friend.”

According to Stacey, Wendy never specified which member of the “GnA crew” would be going to the wedding. Therefore, she technically didn’t know if Ashley would be going to the wedding or if it would be Gizelle Bryant.

“I genuinely didn’t know,” Stacey claimed.

At that point, Andy Cohen pointed out that there’s still a hole in Stacey’s story. Why did it take so much convincing for her to attend the wedding in the first place, and why would it matter if Gizelle or Ashley were there?

“It didn’t matter,” Stacey insisted. “I rearranged my schedule to be there.”

We’re not sure if that tracks, but Stacey continued to explain that we should focus less on the circumstances around her arrival and more on the fact that she showed up. She got to see Jassi’s three wedding dresses in person, and that’s all that should matter.

“I made the effort that was equal to the relationship, and I stand by that,” Stacey said. “I showed up for her.”

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo, and you can stream it the following day on Peacock.
