RuPaul’s Drag Race star Monet X Change is pulling back the curtain on what happened on The Traitors. Or, at least, about Michael Rapaport’s erratic behavior in the Scottish castle. Michael’s negative energy permeated the game. However, it seems that viewers only saw a glimpse of his antics.
As you may recall, Michael was finally banished after he aimed a homophobic remark at Colton Underwood. Of course, Michael denied that he was referencing Colton’s past. Thankfully, most of the rest of the round table was furious at Michael’s attack and had no problem writing his name down.
Monét X Change says Michael Rapaport’s behavior was “toned down” by the Traitors edit
Sadly, Monet X Change was murdered by the Traitors during Episode 5. Her mistake? She mentioned Traitor Lisa Rinna’s name to fellow Traitor Candiace Dillard Bassett.
Recently, Monet hit up the podcast Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey. Naturally, Michael’s came up. “Michael Rapaport, I mean, what we saw on television, honestly, I think they helped him out because they toned it down,” Monet stated. “Michael was always loud, always yelling, always screaming, and I knew of Michael Rapaport because of his online personality.”
She continued, “In person, he is even worse. He is always yelling. I literally lost hearing because he was constantly screaming.” Plus, Real Housewives of Atlanta peach Porsha Williams previously stated that Michael received a favorable edit.
“Thank God for editing,” Porsha said. “If they showed how he really showed his dirty underwear at the table, then I think people would have voted him out.” Thank you, editors of The Traitors, for protecting the viewers at home.
Plus, Monet had some thoughts about Michael’s unique way of eating. “I’m like, ‘Is this how all straight men behave?’ He just gets on there and unhinges his jaw like a f*cking, like he’s in a wildlife exhibit and shovels pounds of food into his mouth,” Monet explained. Yikes!
The Traitors airs on Peacock with new episodes dropping on Thursdays at 9/8c.
