The tired yachties of Below Deck Down Under are having a chaotic first charter. They’ve got the gals of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on board. And they’ve also got an emotional sous chef and one missing set of hands in the interior department. So, not surprisingly, the preview for Episode 3 teases yet another week where “everything is going wrong.”
Captain Jason speaks with an emotional Alesia Harris on BDDU Season 4 Episode 3
Alesia Harris is on the verge of quitting her job. But this season was supposed to be her redemption arc. You see, at the tail end of Season 3, Alesia revealed her plans to attend culinary school, something she desperately needed to grow in her career. However, when Alesia returned for Season 4, we learned that she’d ditched these career plans and gone on a holiday instead.
Thanks to her decision, Alesia’s skills remain rusty, much to Chef Ben Robinson’s dismay. So far, Alesia has burned her hand, used the wrong pan, and ruined a batch of muffins. She has also messed up a few desserts, causing Ben to sigh and poke at her efforts. But Ben and Alesia communicate very differently, so now, this rather dejected sous chef is ready to quit her job on BDDU. Which, might be for the best.
In the reel for next week, we see Alesia in the wheelhouse. As she’s telling Captain Jason Chambers, she is “doing [her] absolute best.” However, she adds, “It’s three days in, and I’m losing my head.” Then, she reveals that she is ready to quit, because she “just can’t do it” anymore with Ben.
“My fight or flight mode is on all the time,” Alesia stressed. “And it’s genuinely too much. Just everything is going wrong,” she said, while Captain Jason patiently listened. Then the captain makes a somewhat questionable move to talk her into staying – for now.
