Season 10 of Love Is Blind got off to a chaotic start this week. Netflix dropped the first batch of episodes, where 32 singles from Ohio entered the experiment, hoping to find love. One of the ladies wound up in the hospital before the first episode finished.

When you enter the pods on Love Is Blind, you’re expecting things to be a little unpredictable. However, Elissa Finely, a nurse hoping to find her prince charming, got way more than she bargained for in the Season 10 premiere.
At the end of Love Is Blind Season 10 Episode 1, Elissa was crying in the women’s quarters as the rest of her costars looked on. You could hear Elissa yelling out, “What do I do? F*ck,” before a medic showed up and took her away.
The medic said, “Okay, I know you’re scared right now. We’re gonna have to send you out.”
Elissa’s costars (and everyone watching at home) were left confused about what happened. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait long for an explanation. In Episode 2, she revealed what caused the trip to the hospital. It turned out to be a mix-up with a bottle of eye drops.
“So, it still hurts a little bit, but I go in [to the bathroom], and there was a little bottle there, and I wanted to put eye drops in my eye,” Elissa explained.
It turns out the bottle wasn’t eye drops. It was nail glue. She put nail glue in her eye and immediately panicked. She thought she was about to lose her eyesight and redefine the meaning of Love Is Blind.
“When we got to the hospital, they just hooked up an IV bag with tubing and just sat here and just flushed my eye, and the guy was getting the glue out,” she recalled. “It was so awful. I can’t believe I did that.”
Believe it or not, Elissa isn’t the first reality star to mix up eye drops for nail glue. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow did the exact same thing before a Watch What Happens Live appearance. Just like Elissa, Lisa had to rush off to the emergency room and eventually made a full recovery.
The moral of the story is that you should always double-check the label before squirting something in your eye, and perhaps these nail glue companies should consider their packaging.
