After hearing Below Deck’s Chef Ben Robinson talk about the cancelation of his wedding, fans now know the reason why. Or at least his version of the events…
In Below Deck Down Under Season 4, Episode 3, Ben tearfully confessed what apparently happened. “I was meant to get married last year,” he sobbed. “And I caught her — she had been seeing one of my friends for a very long time.”
Apparently, his sous chef Alesia Harris deciding she can no longer work with him was the last straw. “I’m more sensitive because everyone’s just f*cking let me down,” he explained, adding that he’s lost his “faith in humanity.”

The couple were engaged in 2023, after dating for more than three years. His former fiancée Kiara Cabral has not spoken about their breakup.
“I pulled all of my friends and family into this wonderful love affair,” Ben shared at the time. “We are now proudly engaged, and I look forward to a life of love and laughter with the lovely Kiara.”
Sadly, in September 2024, Ben confirmed that his wedding was canceled. Since then, he’s removed all photos of Kiara from his Instagram account. Sharing the “difficult” news with his fans, he wrote, “I am no longer getting married.”
“We have decided to go our separate ways, and I think that this is the best decision for both of us,” he continued. “I would rather not discuss the reasons behind these decisions.”
After thanking his fans for their support, he added, “I’m excited to continue my culinary inspirations with my non-gaslit cooktop, and trusty blowtorch. After all, nobody deserves a troublesome flame. Cheers Lovelies.”
