The word on the street is that the Season 7 cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City got hit with a wild new clause in their contract, and Tamra Judge from Real Housewives of Orange County is weighing in.
Allegedly, this new clause states that if they leak storylines and talk to bloggers, it could cost them their jobs. Tamra thinks that’s a good thing, and she’s not alone in that. Her Two Ts In A Pod cohost Dolores Catania feels the same way.
Dolores Catania worries RHOSLC is becoming RHONJ
The RHOSLC rumor floating around details a “narrative integrity clause” that the incoming RHOSLC cast had to sign. During the latest episode of Two Ts in a Pod, Tamra read the rumor outloud.
“Renewal letters have gone out to the RHOSLC ladies for Season 7, and they include a new mega-clause which is non-negotiable for all new and renewing cast,” Tamra read. “It’s called the Narrative Integrity Clause.”’
The rumor continued, “Basically, the cast are not allowed to create, influence, or leak storylines about the show or other cast members off-camera. Production isn’t messing around.”
According to the unverified report about this “mega-clause,” producers would remove any on-camera discussions about “unverified activity.” Plus, they could penalize the cast for dabbling in fourth-wall-breaking storylines. They could face fines, demotion, or even termination.
After taking it all in, Tamra said that she supported the rumored RHOSLC clause. In a perfect world, she thinks it should be this way across the board. Hell, that probably would’ve saved Katie Ginella a whole lot of trouble.
“I think it should be that zero tolerance, period,” Tamra added.
Dolores agreed. She said that the RHOSLC cast needed this type of guidance, or else that might wind up becoming “the new New Jersey.” It’s an avoidable fate that Dolores has warned some of the RHOSLC members about.
She said, “I did say to a couple of them, I said, ‘Listen, you’re going to be sorry. You’re going to lose a good thing.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is streaming on Peacock.
