Some friendships were meant to be broken, and Kandi Burruss wasn’t surprised by the latest Real Housewives of Atlanta fallout.
The longtime Bravo star recently sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, and she made a surprising confession about the falling out between Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams in Season 16. According to her, she wasn’t surprised to see it, and she won’t be surprised if things don’t improve next season.

For longtime RHOA fans, Porsha and Shamea’s feud in Season 16 felt extremely surprising and a little painful to watch. Shamea spent all of these years on the sidelines of the show, flaunting her real-life connection with Porsha, only to wind up in a nasty feud when she finally got her peach.
Throughout Season 16, we learned that there was much more to this friendship than what we previously knew. Their moms had a years-old beef of their own, and the pressure of reality TV didn’t help the situation.
During the February 22 episode of WWHL, a fan asked Kandi to weigh in on the Porsha and Shamea drama. That’s when she admitted that she didn’t feel surprised seeing them fall out.
“Honestly, I was not surprised,” Kandi confessed. “That’s because anytime you have any moments in your friendship that have been kind of shaky, being on a reality show is just going to make it that much worse.”
She continued, “You’re not really able to make up without discussing things with other people in front of the world, and then that makes it more intense.”
Spoken like a true veteran Housewife! When asked if the former besties could recover from their friendship, Kandi gave a bleak prediction. She thinks we’re going to see them stoop even lower, based on some tea she heard about Season 17.
Kandi explained, “Do I think it’s going to get better? No, because I’ve heard some of the things ya’ll got coming on the next season, and oof. Way worse!”
