Donald Trump’s words tend to generate strong reactions from everyone, including Siri. On Tuesday, the President made his State of the Union address, discussing, among other things, his desire to put America first. He pledged to defend Americans rather than illegal aliens.
He took the opportunity to discuss everything that he believes has been accomplished. Among them, he states that the economy is booming while assuring people that rising costs aren’t a problem. He also discussed the capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. That talk appears to trigger many.

Of all things to trigger Apple’s voice-activated assistant, evidently, Nicolás Maduro does the trick. In the closing moments of the President’s address to the nation, he discussed the story of Chief Warrant Officer Eric Slover. Eric was a part of the operation to capture the Venezuelan leader in January. This discussion activated Siri on many people’s phones. It sounded like an activation cue for many devices.
Nicolas’ capture has had a polarizing reaction from many. Some questioned the legality of the move while others praised it, believing the Venezuelan is guilty of many crimes. In January, Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado gifted her Nobel Peace Prize to the US President. Donald happily accepted.
The rules of the Peace Prize state that the recipient cannot transfer the award to someone else. There had been widespread speculation that Donald felt like he’d deserved the honor. He’s praised himself for a longtime how he believes he stopped countless wars during his time as President.
During the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw in December, Donald was awarded the first-ever FIFA Peace Prize by the federation’s President, Gianni Infantino. Prior to his State of the Union address, Donald’s approval rating was said to be the lowest ever for a two-term US President this century.
