Lily Allen’s highly anticipated tour has not begun on a great note. The estranged wife of David Harbour began the Lily Allen: Performs West End Girl shows on Monday. It’s in support of her fifth studio album called West End Girl.
That album has garnered rave reviews from critics and fans. Even so, fans attending her opening concert did not get as much as they would have hoped. West End Girl earned a gold certification in the UK. It was also nominated for British Album of the Year at the 2025 Brit Awards.
Lily Allen only appears and performs for 45 minutes during her West End Girl tour
Those attending Lily’s first show on Monday will feel a little ripped off. That’s because the singer only performed for 45 minutes. That nearly equals the total length of all 14 tracks on West End Girl.
Her album documents the breakdown of her marriage with the Stranger Things actor. In October, Lily admitted to struggling with her mental health after their break-up. Reports indicate that during their time together, David was on the dating app Raya. Mental health is something that Lily has openly talked about as a part of her life, which has been an ongoing battle.
While fans were expecting other songs or at least a little more banter from Lily in her opening show, the singer had forewarned audiences about her upcoming concerts. The Smile singer had said that she’d only perform songs from her new album. West End Girl has a total running time of just over 44 minutes. In addition to that, Lily said that there wouldn’t be an opening act while she’s on the road.
Even so, many people expressed their dismay, calling her short concert unacceptable. In total, Lily will perform 48 times from the West End Girl songbook, stopping in Canada and the United States throughout April. Her tour concludes on November 1st with a concert in Perth, Australia.
