Dallas Actress Annabel Schofield Dead at 62

A model and primetime soap opera actress has died. Annabel Schofield is perhaps best known for her appearances on the series Dallas. The storyline of the late-night soap revolved around a feuding Texas family that owned an independent oil company. Since the show’s conclusion, there was a revival in 2012, which ran for three seasons.

Annabel featured in 12 episodes of that program in 1988. She had decided to dedicate her career to acting and modelling in the mid-1980s. The former CoverGirl model was 62.

Last week was a devastating one for Hollywood. It began with the death of Robert Carradine, who committed suicide on February 23 via hanging, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner. Sadly, the month ended with Annabel losing her battle with cancer on February 28.

Her international breakthrough came in a Bugle Boy Jeans TV advertisement. She was seen roaring through the desert in a black Ferrari, saying, “Excuse me, are those Bugle Boy jeans you’re wearing?” That garnered her plenty of attention and led to her being cast on Dallas.

Among her roles in the 90s were appearing in Eye of the Window, starring F. Murray Abraham and Clifford, alongside Martin Short. Martin experienced tragedy last week when his daughter died of a suicide on February 23. Katherine was 42.

In July, Annabel had told people how her cancer had gotten worse and had spread to her brain. This was shared on a GoFundMe post.

Annabel also delved into the production side of movies, for films like The Brothers Grimm, Doom and City of Ember. Away from the cameras, she openly discussed her cancer, documenting any changes in her condition. Her last post came in January, sharing a surgery to remove a large mass in her nasal cavity.

In 2010, she launched her own company, Bella Bene Productions. As part of her work there, she developed commercials, music ventures and high-end fashion projects. She formed a creative partnership with Nick Egan, who previously worked with bands like The Clash and Oasis.

Reality Tea is sending our love and best wishes to Annabel’s family, friends, and loved ones at this time.
