On the latest episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, released March 5, Kylie Kelce welcomed ESPN contributor Mina Kimes for a conversation about parenting. They also talked about the funny and sometimes awkward things kids say. During the discussion, Kelce opened up about one particular moment when her daughter made an unexpectedly blunt observation about her body.
“I was getting dressed, and one of my children said, ‘That’s nice. Your stomach is squishy,’” Kylie, 33, recalled with a laugh. Instead of taking offense, she responded playfully, telling her daughter, “Thank you so much. That’s really kind of you.”
Kelce noted that her daughters aren’t shy about sharing their thoughts. She admitted that even when those thoughts might come across as a little too honest. The mom of four shares daughters Finnley, 11 months, Bennett, 2, Elliotte, 4, and Wyatt, 6, with her husband, former NFL star Jason Kelce.
According to Kylie, their kids’ unfiltered comments don’t stop with her. She also remembered a moment when one daughter offered a humorous comparison between her parents.
“My child said, ‘Dad’s b*obs are big, but your b*obs are tall,’” Kylie joked during the episode.
Later in the conversation, Kylie reflected on another parenting story involving their eldest daughter, Wyatt. When the couple tried to wean Wyatt off her pacifier, they decided to trade the comfort item for something exciting, a pet fish.
Looking back, Kylie admitted the plan created more responsibility than they expected. The family even named the fish “Paci” as a tribute to the pacifier Wyatt had given up.
Unfortunately, when the fish eventually died, Kylie and Jason had to navigate a delicate conversation about loss. “We had to have a whole conversation about fish heaven,” she recalled.
Through stories like these, Kylie continues to highlight the humor and unpredictability that come with raising young children.
