The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ latest full-time cast member Rachel Zoe has been very open about sharing details of her divorce.
On February 26, Rachel appeared on The Burnouts with Phoebe and Sophia podcast, where she talked about her last name. Though she kept the surname “Zoe” in her professional life throughout her 26-year marriage, she was known as Rachel Berman with her family and at her kids’ school.
“I used it with our kids, and like, when we traveled and stuff like that,” she said. “But in my professional life, from the age of 21, I was Rachel Zoe … I would never, ever take a man’s last name now. I wouldn’t.”

Rachel first met Rodger when they were students at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. At the time she was just 19, while Rodger was 22.
On the podcast, she admitted, “I found my person too early … I used to say, like, I wish I could meet him at like 27, 28, and then be with him for four, five years, and then have kids.”
“I knew that I met him too early,” she added, “but he was older than me. And [I was] so young, I mean, I was 19 years old.”
Though they were together for over three decades, Rodger turned out not to be her “forever person” after all. “I mean, I’m pretty sure my ex and I thought we were dying next to each other up until a couple of years ago,” she confessed.
In addition, on February 12, Rachel was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. While there, she shared that her divorce will be finalized soon.
In the meantime, she and Rodger try to keep things amicable for the sake of their two sons, Skyler and Kaius. “Ultimately, we want what’s best for the kids,” she emphasized.
