Season 11 of Southern Charm is almost over. But first, Craig Conover will be in the hot seat at the reunion. And a comment that he made about his ex-girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, and his newest former flame, Charley Manley, will be a hot topic.
As you may recall, Craig was reportedly set to propose to the Summer House alum. However, Paige ended their relationship in December 2024. He also dissed Paige for talking about their split publicly.
Craig “would’ve picked” Charley over his ex Paige
Then along came Charley. The duo tried to date under the radar, even hiding their kiss from co-stars. However, after Craig melted down in Mexico, Charley called time on their budding romance, saying that she only saw him as a friend.
In the Season 11 finale, Craig told her, “At the end of the day, like, after my breakup, I think I was worried that, you know, I would never, like, like someone again.” He added, without name-dropping Paige, “But I had a big enough crush on you that, like, I would’ve picked you over my ex. And I didn’t think I, like, would’ve felt that again.”
During the Southern Charm After Show, Madison Lecroy was not having it. After calling Craig “a liar,” she said, “I can’t believe you said that. That’s crazy.” However, Craig insisted, “I really had gotten to a point where, like, I would have been happy dating Charley.”
As for Charley? She was hoping for a friendship with Craig. “I do see him as a friend. I’m not looking at him like ‘It was fun. Bye,'” she explained. “I’m just like, ‘Hey, like, I just don’t see you romantically anymore. Like, sorry.'”
