Whitney Leavitt’s career has taken flight. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star waltzed into the ballroom for Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. She and partner, DWTS pro Mark Ballas, were cut just before the finals. This was a bit surprising as they were one of the frontrunners all season.
Meanwhile, Whitney landed the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago. This Broadway baby was fulfilling all of her dreams. However, while her career is exploding, SLOMW is paused. So, could Whitney be eyeing a spinoff series? Or is she planning to leave SLOMW altogether?
What did the SLOMW star have to say?
In addition, the two open domestic violence investigations involving Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, have left the future of SLOMW in doubt. A source claimed that the show’s fate was “very much up in the air.”
Meanwhile, Hulu is reportedly working on a spinoff featuring a group of Mormon friends living in Orange County, California. This series would reportedly star Jen Affleck, who also competed on Season 34 of DWTS. The duo’s friendship fell apart following the intense dance competition.
So, is there another spinoff on the horizon, this time starring Whitney? Rumors are swirling that the SLOMW villain could nab her own show. Naturally, Whitney and her husband, Conner Leavitt, posted a TikTok to address the gossip.
In the clip, set to the song In the Navy by the Village People, Whitney slipped her coat off in dramatic fashion. Meanwhile, Connor clapped in the background. Then the duo started dancing and lip-synching. I mean, Conner has some moves! Whitney captioned the video, “How it feels knowing y’all want a Leavitt spinoff.”
Of course, the comments were fire. Chase McWhorter commented, “LOVE IT OR LEAVITT!!!” Even Conner got in on the action, writing, “This may or may not be happening.” And Whitney’s SLOMW co-star Mikayla Matthews commented, “I’m SAT.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
