The custody battle between Gina Kirschenheiter’s fiancé, Travis Mullen, and his ex-wife, Meghan Mullen, just took another unfortunate turn. The Real Housewives of Orange County star is caught in the middle of all of it.
Last year, Travis went to family court and demanded sole custody of their three minor children. It was granted in November 2205 after Travis claimed that Meghan prevented him from seeing one of their sons for over a month and kept them out of school.
Now, he’s launched another series of claims against Meghan. He wants to make this sole custody agreement permanent.
Meghan Mullen won’t allow Travis permanent sole custody without a court battle

This custody battle has been going on for ages, and at this point, the kids will probably turn 18 before they get it sorted out. According to new court documents reviewed by TMZ, Travis has accused Meghan of missing several court-ordered drug tests. He also said that she has “failed to provide the most basic care for the minor children.”
Meghan, who is allowed monitored visits with their children, clapped back at these accusations. She has made it clear that she doesn’t want Travis to be awarded permanent sole custody of their kids, and she believes he’s trying to use the court system to bully her.
“Travis continues to misuse the court process to get his way,” she told the court. “His [court] filings appear intended to punish and control me, not to protect the children. Travis is using the family court system as a tool of coercive control and retaliation.”
While this drama plays out in court, Travis is focused on moving forward with him and Gina’s happily ever after. He kicked off 2026 by popping the question to his longtime girlfriend and presented her with a 6-carat diamond ring.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is streaming on Peacock.
