Carl Radke is sharing why he isn’t part of Season 1 of In the City. The Bravo spinoff features Summer House stars Lindsay Hubbard, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, and Danielle Olivera, among new cast members. However, Summer House veteran Carl was noticeably absent from the cast. In an interview on the Morgan’s Pop Talks podcast, he revealed that that he was never asked to join the series.

Carl Radke wasn’t asked to join the Summer House spinoff
During an appearance on Morgan’s Pop Talks, Carl spoke candidly about being excluded form the Summer House spinoff.
“They were really focused, it seems like, on the next chapter. [People who are] married, or you have a child, or whatever’s going on. Less single people,” he told host Morgan Paige. “It was more of the couples and the inner dynamics of living in Manhattan. So that wasn’t necessarily where I fit in at this point.”
He did note that he filmed “a little bit” for In the City, saying he will make an appearance on the show.
“You’ll see a glimpse of me, as far as I know,” he shared.
Carl remains in the Summer House for now, but he is optimistic about joining the spinoff in the future.
“I would love to be a part of it,” he said. “But if they don’t want me to be, I’m still going to cheer and show up for everything they asked me to. I’m so proud to be a part of this network.”
A teaser trailer for In the City was released on Tuesday, April 7. The first look featured a private exchange between Amanda Batula and West Wilson, who recently hard-launched their “connection.”
Carl has not spoken publicly about the scandal, but he did share some thoughts in a DM. In a message to the Bravo fan account @cici.loves. you, he wrote that he is “confused” and “crushed” for his pal, Ciara Miller.
Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock the following day.
