Selling the OC Filming Reportedly Paused by Netflix

There is some bad news for fans of Selling the OC. Netflix’s Selling Sunset spin-off has allegedly been put on pause. And just when things were getting good with the newbies stirring the pot! So, what’s the reason the show may never return? Apparently, production wants to put all their focus into Selling Sunset instead.

The Netflix reality show’s production won’t take place this year

Selling the OC dropped its fourth season last year. There were plenty of gorgeous Orange County homes, new real estate agents stirring up trouble, and the usual “will they or won’t they” drama between Alex Hall and Tyler Stanaland

We even got a Bravo cross-over with Summer House alum Luke Gulbranson dating Oppenheim Group real estate agent Polly Brindle. And they seemed to be hinting that he would potentially join the show next season as a new agent. We need this to happen!

Needless to say, there were plenty of storylines to keep going. So, why did Netflix supposedly put the show on pause? According to TMZ, a source shared that the focus is all about Selling Sunset instead. Allegedly they “hit a snag amid a cast shakeup” and need to prioritize that.

Because of that change in priority, Selling the OC might be on pause. The new season of Selling Sunset is scheduled to film sometime in April or May this year, with Selling the OC currently not on the production schedule any time soon.

The source also shared that “a final decision has not yet been made on whether ‘O.C.’ will ever return.” If true, let’s hope that the powers-that-be at Netflix change their mind, because Selling the OC was just as good as the OG Selling Sunset.

Selling the OC is streaming on Netflix.
