Sources have claimed that the former model has distanced herself from everyone, including the President, and is formulating an exclusive team of trusted associates in order to “protect herself.”

In the Sunday, April 12, edition of Rob Shuter’s newsletter, an insider noted that Donald Trump’s wife has decided to take control of the narrative by doing things her own way.
“She doesn’t trust anyone, including her husband,” the source claimed in the Naughty But Nice Substack. “She feels like she has to protect herself. She’s building her own team now. People loyal to her — not the system.”
The insider also remarked that the 2025 demolition of the White House’s East Wing, which used to contain the First Lady’s offices, seems to have rubbed Melania Trump the wrong way, with her viewing the move as a sign of neglect.
“It’s been torn apart. At first, she didn’t care. Now she sees it as a sign of how little they value her. That hit her,” the source noted.
Moreover, the shift seems to have made some people nervous, with the insider adding, “She’s done staying quiet. She’s speaking for herself now. They’re scared of her. She’s a loose cannon — no one knows what she’ll do next. No handlers. No filters. Just Melania. She’s not playing the role anymore. She’s writing her own story.”
This update comes after the First Lady cleared the air regarding her connections to Jeffrey Epstein. While talking to the press on April 9, Melania stated, “The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility, and respect.”
In her speech, Melania Trump unequivocally denied having any relationship with the disgraced financier. “I’ve never been friends with Epstein,” she noted before adding, “To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice Maxwell.” Donald Trump’s wife also berated the authenticity of evidence linking her with Epstein, claiming that all such “images and stories are completely false.”
