Melania Trump did not attend Bettina Anderson’s bridal shower, sources suggest
According to a Palm Beach insider, First Lady Melania Trump was reportedly absent from Bettina Anderson’s grand bridal shower. The event, held at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday, April 12, celebrated Anderson’s upcoming wedding to Donald Trump Jr. Several other Trump family members were in attendance, including Ivanka and Tiffany Trump.
Speaking with PEOPLE, the source shared, “The shower was gorgeous. The event was held mostly inside and was lovely, but there were guests hanging outside some of the time.”
Anderson offered a glimpse into the lavish ceremony in a series of Instagram stories. The photos capture the stunning ballroom decorations, including floral arrangements, as well as the lavish dining setting. She also shared a video of a massive mint green cake with white floral decorations as the centerpiece of the party.
The bridal shower comes just months after Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée, Anderson, announced their engagement in December 2025 at a White House event. Most recently, multiple other Palm Beach sources have shared an insight into the couple’s relationship.
One insider told PEOPLE that Anderson “holds a traditional view of family life where the man leads, and she supports him with loyalty, strength, and devotion.” They added, “Don would never choose to marry someone who was not genuine about family and completely comfortable around his children.”
Another source said, “She lets him take the lead, and she does what is right. They have fun together. They enjoy the fanfare yet like to get away from it. Don especially can do without all the social stuff, but she knows how to wrap herself in it and do the right thing.”
