Adam Sandler Cheers on Teen Daughter at Premiere of Her New Movie

Adam Sandler showed up to his teen daughter’s new movie, “Roommates,” and let her have her night. Sandler walked the pink carpet on April 13 at The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles for the premiere of “Roommates,” a new Netflix comedy starring 19-year-old Sadie Sandler. Jackie Sandler arrived with him, along with the couple’s younger daughter, Sunny. The four of them posed together on the carpet, looking like a family that has done plenty of movie nights, except this time they are celebrating a new chapter.

To cheer for his teen daughter’s movie “Roommates” premiere, Adam Sandler wore a red Nike zip-up, beige pants, and bright sneakers. Next to him, Jackie went sleek in a black dress. Sadie Sandler also wore black, stepping out in an off-the-shoulder gown with a ruffled neckline and hem, while Sunny wore a red dress with a ruffled bottom that matched her dad’s jacket.

Sadie has the leading role in “Roommates,” which comes from Sandler’s Happy Madison production company. In the film, she plays Devon, a college freshman trying to settle into her first semester, and the movie’s synopsis reveals that Devon asks Celeste, played by Chloe East, to be her roommate. But things get tense as Devon struggles with boundaries and dorm life.

Sadie has grown up around her dad’s sets and has appeared in several of his projects over the years. She started with “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” in 2008, and the whole family teamed up again in 2023’s “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” with Sadie and Sunny also appearing in “Happy Gilmore 2” last year.

Sandler has never acted like any of this feels ordinary, in the best way. At the Happy Gilmore 2 premiere last July, he told PEOPLE, “Love them. Your heart feels good. You’re pulling for ’em while you’re working with them.”

“Roommates” starts streaming on Netflix on April 17.
