Meghan Markle’s girls’ retreat in Australia is not sitting well with her sister-in-law. Kate Middleton is said to be “fuming” about that event, according to an insider. The Princess of Wales apparently has issues, as one particular guest will be attending this weekend’s festivities.
The event in Sydney runs from April 17 to 19. It is part of a broader push for Meghan’s As Ever lifestyle brand. Prince Harry is also Down Under with Meghan right now.
An Aussie influencer claims to have secured tickets for Meghan’s “girls’ weekend”
There’s at least one attendee heading to Meghan’s “girls weekend” event that the Princess isn’t fond of. That would be social media influencer Zandi Sussex. According to RadarOnline, members of the conspiracy theorists’ so-called Sussex Squad have reportedly secured some of the pricey tickets along with her. Among Zandi’s bold claims is that Princess Kate faked her cancer diagnosis. She has repeatedly called the Princess’s illness a sham. Zandi has thousands of followers online.
In January, 2024, Kensington Palace announced that Kate had undergone abdominal surgery, prompting speculation and theories on what it was for. Later that year, she revealed that after post-operative tests, cancer was discovered, prompting her to begin chemotherapy treatment. In 2025, it was revealed that her cancer was in remission.
Kate and Meghan do not appear to have been on good terms for a while. News of this event going forward may add more fuel to their alleged feud. An insider says that Kate would have appreciated that the Duchess of Sussex either cancelled the event, “or at least the guest (Zandi) being banned.” Earlier this month it was alleged that Kate and Meghan’s relationship had reached a “tipping point.” An insider says what might be unsettling for some is the type of people attending the pricey weekend retreat, such as Zandi.
Kate’s husband, Prince William and brother Harry have been estranged for years since Meghan’s husband’s explosive memoir came out. VIP tickets for Meghan’s girls’ retreat are said to be over $2,000 US.
