Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no strangers to PDA. However, a body language expert has labeled one of the “Suits” actor’s gestures during the first day of the couple’s much-anticipated Australian trip as “needy.” On April 14, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Melbourne without their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
Body Language expert says Meghan Markle was being ‘needy’ around Prince Harry
In a conversation with the Daily Express, Judi James, a body language expert, analyzed the couple’s pictures from their arrival at the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum. James described Meghan Markle as “needy.” She claimed that the As Ever founder clinging on to Harry’s hand suggests that she is trying to “retain his attention.”
“Meghan’s wide smile appears to match the delight signals, but her hand-holding and bicep clasp give a slightly needier signal of firm attachment as though she’s keen to retain his attention,” she explained. Of the prince, the expert said, “Harry’s splayed chest and long-reach wave here suggests he’s at peak confidence and peak levels of delight here.”
Harry and Markle tied the knot in 2018 and will celebrate their eighth anniversary soon. They welcomed their first child, Prince Archie, in 2019. Two years later, they also had a baby girl, Princess Lilibet. They stepped down from their position as senior working royals in 2020, with an engagement in March of that year being their last.
The last time the couple visited Australia was a few months after their marriage in 2018. Their visit this month will touch a variety of causes that are close to their heart, such as veterans, children’s welfare, mental health, and sport. They made their first stop at Melbourne Children’s Hospital.
The hospital staff, citizens, many young patients, and their families had gathered in the hospital’s foyer to greet the couple. In an adorable moment, Markle was pictured interacting with a little girl called Lily, who was born only a day before Princess Lilibet.
