Taylor Swift has been dominating the AMAs 2026 nominations. Recently, the American Music Awards released the list of this year’s nominees who have given hits. Among them, the 36-year-old pop star ranked at the top with eight nominations. It didn’t seem to be a new thing for the singer as she already owns 40 AMAs over the years. She has the most wins, followed by Michael Jackson (24) and Alabama (23).
Taylor Swift dominates AMAs 2026 nomination list
Taylor Swift has been ruling the AMAs 2026 nomination list. As per Billboard, she has been nominated in eight categories. They include Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, Song of the Summer, Best Female Pop Artist, Best Pop Song, and Best Pop Album. She released her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” last October. It instantly topped the Billboard charts and became the best-selling record globally.
Hence, the American Music Awards 2026 nominating Swift didn’t come as a surprise. However, the interesting fact was that she had the most nominations and had been dominating the winning charts for a long time. She has 40 awards so far.
Only Swift has eight nominations, while four artists were named in seven categories. Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter, and sombr bagged seven nods. Furthermore, Alex Warren and Lady Gaga were honored with six, while Cardi B, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and many others had four nominations. Other big names were also put under five categories.
Meanwhile, the list added popular South Korean artists, including BTS and HUNTR/X. The latter had already bagged an Oscar. Among all the nominations, Swift has successfully managed to bag eight possibilities to win AMA trophies.
Aside from her thriving career, the year 2026 seemed to welcome more celebration in the pop star’s life. She would reportedly get married to her long-time beau, Travis Kelce, in July in New York City.
