The Portman clan is getting a little bigger. Natalie Portman announced on Friday that she is having another baby. It will be the first for the Black Swan actress with her current partner, Tanguy Destable. Natalie had two kids with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied.
In 2024, it was revealed that she and the French dancer and choreographer had divorced. He allegedly had an affair with French climate activist Camille Étienne. The couple met while working together on Black Swan. Their son Aleph was born in 2011, with their daughter Amalia in September 2017. Natalie and Tanguy have reportedly been dating since March 2025.
The actress and her boyfriend are “very excited”
At 44, Natalie is ready to bring another child into this world. She shared the exciting news with Harper’s Bazaar in a story published today. “Tanguy and I are very excited,” said Natalie. She adds, “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.” Natalie admits that she’s got more energy than she thought she would, being pregnant again. She adds that she’s just trying to take it all in.
Natalie’s father is a fertility doctor, which is where she learned how difficult conceiving can be. The actress says that she knows so many people who have had a hard time doing so. She is counting her lucky stars that she’ll get the opportunity to have another child.
By all accounts, Natalie loves being a mother and is doing her best to inspire her current kids. Last month, she penned a letter to them about the importance of loving yourself and building inner strength.
Natalie debuted her bump in Paris on Friday, covering her belly with oversized coats. Tanguy is 45 and a music producer in France. He goes by the stage name Tepr. Natalie’s latest film, Good Sex, will be released on Netflix later this year.
