Speaking in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Galitzine said the reaction to his casting has already shown how deeply the character resonates. “It’s truly incredible how much it means to many people,” he said, noting that fans often approach him to share how He-Man shaped their childhood.

The actor acknowledged that the role comes with pressure but added that he tries to stay grounded and not let expectations dictate his performance. Instead, he is focusing on balance.

Galitzine revealed that the film will blend humor with emotional depth. “We lean into the comedy. We lean into the emotionality of the character as well,” he said. He also praised Dolph Lundgren’s earlier portrayal, calling it an important part of the character’s legacy.

He confirmed that he connected with Lundgren during the process. However, their conversations were less about the role and more personal. He said, “It felt like a passing of the torch,” describing the moment as meaningful and supportive.

The film was recently presented at CinemaCon, where Galitzine appeared alongside Camila Mendes and director Travis Knight. Mendes teased that while the film features large-scale action and spectacle, its core story focuses on identity and self-worth.

Directed by Knight, the film follows Prince Adam, who grows up on Earth before embracing his destiny as He-Man. The cast also includes Jared Leto as Skeletor and Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, alongside several other notable names.

Set for release on June 5 through Amazon MGM Studios, the project marks a major revival of the franchise and aims to introduce He-Man to a new generation while honoring longtime fans.
