A homelessness charity in the UK has announced it will cut ties with Sharon Osbourne. This comes after she showed support on social media for a far-right rally being organised by Tommy Robinson.
Tommy – whose real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon – is one of the most prominent far-right activists in the UK. He co-founded the English Defence League and is known for his opposition to Islam, immigration, and mainstream media narratives.

Earlier this week, Sharon commented on a social post by Tommy confirming her attendance at one of his upcoming protests. “See you at the march,” she said of Tommy’s event, which is due to take place next month.
Although Tommy welcomed Sharon’s support, her move quickly drew backlash from many of her fans. Now, the former reality TV star has been dropped by Centrepoint (the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity) as a result.
“This sort of event does not align with our values,” the charity said in a statement in response to Sharon’s comment.
“Centrepoint has a proud history of supporting young people whatever their background, ethnicity or religion,” it continued. “If we want young people to thrive in this country, then we need to ensure our society continues to allow them to live without fear and able to access the opportunities they need to start education or work and leave homelessness behind.”
The charity went on to express its gratitude for Sharon’s previous support, which included a money-raising campaign, but made clear that this relationship has come to an end. “She is not an official ongoing ambassador of Centrepoint, and we have no plans to work together in the future”, it said.
Sharon is yet to comment publicly on the matter.
