Over the last twelve years, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise has blossomed. It started as a show strictly following the K1 visa process. The show featured couples consisting of one American partner and one partner from another country. The international partner moved to America, where they often struggled to adjust to their new country. After ninety days, the couples either had to marry or go their separate ways.
Since 90 Day Fiancé Season 1, the show has blossomed into many other spin-offs. They follow other aspects of international relationships, such as Americans traveling or even moving abroad for their partners. However, the classic 90 Day Fiancé show is still going strong. Season 12 has recently been announced, and so far, fans are hopeful about what the new season promises to bring. Here’s everything we know about the newest 90 Day Fiancé season so far.
90 Day Fiancé Season 12 will feature a cast of all new couples
90 Day Fiancé Season 12 will introduce seven new couples to the franchise. Viewers have been calling for new couples for a while, and many are happy to see a cast of all fresh faces. One of the new couples on Season 12 are Shea and Anabelle, from Kentucky and the Philippines, respectively. While the two share a special connection, their relationship will be tested by some of Shea’s prying family members.
Another new couple this season are Ashia and Maxwell, from Alabama and Nigeria. Ashia and Maxwell will face many trials and obstacles during Season 12. Their ten year age gap will cause some troubles, along with K1 visa troubles and cultural differences. Marissa and Edward are another couple with a bit of an age gap this season. The couple met during Marissa’s trip to the Dominican Republic, and they ended up forming a strong connection. However, Marissa’s family has doubts about Edward, which could cause some problems. Thomas and Paula will also face some disagreements, particularly over finances and other lifestyle differences.
Mallorie and Rașit are one of the only couples close in age on Season 12. The two met in Greece, although Mallorie lives in Alabama, while Rașit is from Turkey. While they have a strong bond, their different wishes for the future could tear them apart. Debby and Mido will also face cultural differences and resulting struggles, as Debby lives in New Orleans, while Mido is from Egypt. The latter hopes to be a Hollywood star, which raises some red flags for Debby. Finally, Catie and Josh will explore their new life together in Oregon after Josh’s move from England. Josh loves Catie, but has some concerns about her habit of kissing friends and strangers.
90 Day Fiancé Season 12 Release Date

90 Day Fiancé Season 12 is set to air on Sunday, May 10th at 8 p.m. ET. It will presumably take the place of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8, which is currently airing. In recent years, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise has aired one show on Sunday nights and another on Monday nights. 90 Day: The Single Life Season 5 currently airs on Mondays, and will likely continue for a few more months. 90 Day Fiancé Season 12; however, will take the show’s traditional Sunday slot.
What drama is teased in the Season 12 trailer?
The Season 12 trailer teases some intense drama that viewers will witness throughout the season. One of the most dramatic moments shows Josh walking out of a bar, unhappy after Catie is seen kissing someone else. The moment seemingly causes him to doubt their entire relationship.
Another problem arises when Marissa tells Edward that their entire relationship has changed since he’s arrived in America. Mallorie and Rașit also run into trouble when he claims she is a “redneck”, which clearly seems to offend her. The couples this season will face many trials and tribulations, and it will be interesting to see who is still together by the end of the season.
90 Day Fiancé is available to stream on Discovery +.
