RadarOnline exclusively reported that Meghan Markle has changed Kate Middleton from someone who tried to solve tensions to someone more fixed in her position as a future queen. This transition comes as Prince Harry and Markle prepare for a reported return to the U.K. in July for a one-year countdown event linked to the Invictus Games, marking the Duchess of Sussex’s first trip back in four years.
An insider told the outlet, “Catherine has, for a long time, made a conscious effort to approach Meghan with patience and understanding, even when their relationship has been strained.” But, as the insider claimed, “There’s a growing sense that her goodwill has been tested too many times.”
Moreover, the source suggested that Middleton believes “certain actions,” including the Sussexes’ recent trip to Australia, “appear to blur the lines between royal status and commercial gain,” and she thinks they “feel inappropriate and out of step with the standards the rest of the family is expected to uphold.” So, the princess allegedly feels that she cannot resolve the situation anymore, therefore opting for a “firmer stance,” changing “from a peacekeeper to the role of a more hard-headed future queen.”
Furthermore, the outlet pointed to the alleged rift between Prince William and Harry. One source said the Prince of Wales remains firm amid all this, claiming, “Unlike Charles, who has been willing to entertain Harry’s efforts to rebuild bridges, William is just not interested.”
