King Charles is thought to be so troubled by Donald Trump’s feud with Pope Leo that he could make a royal visit to the Vatican very soon.
To recap, the president and the pontiff have been embroiled in a very public disagreement of late. The pair first clashed over their differing views on the US and Israeli involvement in Iran, and have continued to butt heads on social media.
The British monarch is set to visit President Trump in the US

According to a source who spoke to Tina Brown for her Substack, King Charles is eager to meet with the pope following his feud with Trump.
“[Charles is] especially pained by Trump’s attacks on Pope Leo,” a royal adviser told the journalist. As a result, Tina predicts that a “hastily scheduled trip to the Vatican” will soon be in the monarch’s calendar.
Also in King Charles’ calendar is an upcoming state visit to the US. His Majesty and Queen Camilla are due to visit next week. Their trip takes place from April 27 to April 30. As for what’s on the agenda? Their plans include two days in Washington DC, where they will meet with Trump at the White House. They will also visit New York, Virginia, and Bermuda.
Speaking about the trip, Trump told the BBC that he thinks it will be a “positive” one that could “absolutely” help repair relations with the UK.
Elsewhere in the interview, the president had a lot of praise for King Charles. “He’s a fantastic man,” he said. “I know him well, I’ve known him for years.”
Trump went on: “He’s a brave man, and he’s a great man.”
TELL US – ARE YOU EXCITED FOR CHARLES AND CAMILLA’S VISIT TO THE US? AND, DO YOU THINK IT WILL HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON UK RELATIONS?
