Erika Kirk appeared to be shocked and crying as a security member helped her be escorted outside after the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. It was reported that while the shooting took place, she hid under the table in the ballroom as everyone else did. In the clip posted, she could be heard saying she just wants to go home, appearing overwhelmed.

The Secret Service stepped up to rescue everyone and catch the person responsible for the shots fired. The shooter was arrested and was identified as Cole Tomas Allen. Amid the rescue, a bullet was also struck at a Secret Service agent wearing a bulletproof vest. However, no injuries were caused to him.

Before this event, Erika Kirk, who was supposed to appear alongside Vice President JD Vance, skipped the Turning Point USA event after receiving threats. She wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “I was so looking forward to tonight’s event at the @universityofga with our Vice President @JDVance, but after all our family has been through, I take my security team’s recommendations extremely seriously. Thank you to our amazing Georgia chapter for your support. God bless you all!”

During his attendance at the event, Vance addressed Erika’s absence and the threats she had been receiving. He said, “I know that she did get some threats, and about two hours ago I was a little worried we were going to have to cancel the event because Erika was not going to come.” Vance also acknowledged that she was worried about attending the event under such unsafe conditions.
