Now, a lip reader claims that the King tried to steer the conversation away from global issues almost as soon as the meeting began, adding intrigue to a visit everyone is already watching pretty closely.

The Daily Mail exclusively reported that King Charles avoided political conversations with Donald Trump within the first few moments of Charles and Queen Camilla’s US visit.
Lip reader Nicola Hickling claimed that Trump raised two serious subjects during the opening greeting. She claimed that the president began by addressing the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting on April 25, before moving on to talk about Russia.
But if Hickling’s reading is right, Charles had no interest in discussing any of that at the time. The lip reader claimed that the King responded by trying to put off the conversation, telling Trump, “We will discuss that later,” before adding, “Another time,” when the president continued.
After exchanging pleasantries, the president and the First Lady stood with the King and Queen for photographs before taking them inside for tea in the Green Room. The group later viewed the White House’s newly unveiled beehive near the Kitchen Garden. Then, the royal couple left for an event at the British ambassador’s residence. The formal part of the state visit was to continue the following day with a South Lawn ceremony and a state dinner at the White House.
Notably, neither the White House nor Buckingham Palace has publicly confirmed the exact private exchange. Besides, lip-reading can sometimes be a hit or a miss. And yet, Donald Trump’s alleged attempt to start talking business and King Charles’ reluctance to do so as soon as he landed in the country have become huge topics of discussion now.
