Tension has once again surfaced in WWE, where one wrestler’s candid remarks have set social media ablaze. After Logan Paul’s RAW debut, WWE star Joe Hendry has publicly demanded that WWE fire him, leaving fans to debate the future of celebrity crossovers.
Logan Paul’s fellow WWE wrestler calls for him to be fired
Tensions backstage have spilt into public view as one of Logan Paul’s WWE peers called for his dismissal.
During the April 27 broadcast of WWE Raw from Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas, Joe Hendry delivered one of his trademark in-ring concerts. During the segment, he announced his official signing with Monday Night Raw and expressed hope that the other brands would understand his decision.
The Scottish wrestler gave respect to Roman Reigns as “the leader,” The Original Tribal Chief, and World Heavyweight Champion. Then he turned to Raw general manager Adam Pearce to make an exception and fire Logan Paul on the spot. He even got the crowd to chant along with him, backing the demand.
Clips of Hendry’s diss concert hit X (formerly Twitter) within minutes, and the internet’s response was immediate and divided. “You can hate Logan all you want but he’s 10X better wrestler than Joe Hendry,” wrote the 30-year-old’s fan. “That is a catchy a** song…,” read a hype comment.
The request comes amid recent budget cuts that saw WWE release several top stars just days ago. Just days earlier, the company let go of Kairi Sane, Motor City Machine Guns, Zelina Vega, Aleister Black, the entire Wyatt Sicks, and more.
However, Austin Theory and Logan Paul later interrupted Hendry’s concert, with The Maverick declaring himself unfireable. When they reached the ring, Hendry got physical and dropped Theory first before turning to Paul.
Outnumbered until the Street Profits arrived, the 37-year-old got backup when Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins stormed the ring. They took down The Vision, repeating their assist for Seth Rollins from the week prior. Later backstage, Joe Hendry expressed his gratitude to the former Tag Team Champions for their help on RAW.
