Anthony Kiedis’ girlfriend has spoken out about their 33-year age gap. In a personal essay, Eileen Kelly – who was first romantically linked to the Red Hot Chili Pepper last year – opened up about their relationship, which she said is her “first” of its kind.

In an article about age gap relationships for Vogue, Eileen (30) spoke about her own romance. Although she did not mention Anthony (63) by name, the pair have been spotted together on several occasions. He also has a history of dating much younger women, many of whom were in their late teens or early twenties.
“My own boyfriend is more than twice my age, which is either alarming or impressive, depending on who you ask,” she wrote. “It’s my first time dating someone significantly older. And sometimes I joke with friends that I’ve been missing out my whole life.”
Eileen went on to point out the many benefits she has noticed since dating someone older. “There is something to be said for a man who’s simply had more time to get his sh*t together,” she said. Eileen also explained that her “much older boyfriend” is always “genuinely excited” to spend time with her. She compared this to younger suitors, who “can swipe for someone better.”
“He is fully aware that he’s one lucky b*stard,” she continued.
Elsewhere in the piece, Eileen questioned why age gap relationships are so stigmatized. “Is it really so difficult to imagine that connection can exist across generations? And that two people of different ages can find something real in each other?”
But her POV was met with a mixed response on Instagram. “No relationship ever fully works out, so who cares about the age difference anyway?” one person said in response to the article. “Not the take I’m here for in the era of Epstein,” someone else commented.
