Financial manipulation, gangsters in Thailand, and an unexpected death. This is not the plot of a Netflix movie; it’s the life of Love Island alum Katie Salmon and her ex-fiancé, who died from suicide in 2024.
Fans will remember Katie from Season 3 of Love Island UK, where she placed fourth. She later became involved with a man who allegedly ended up on the run from gangsters in Thailand. Before that drama unfolded, Katie claims he coerced her into starting an OnlyFans career.

The Sun got the full scoop on this insane story, which unfortunately does end in tragedy. After Love Island, Katie fell in love with a guy named Harry. She announced their engagement in 2021, they welcomed a daughter named Thiaga in 2022, and split a few months later.
Katie explained to The Sun that during their relationship, she was “financially abused” by him. It turns out, his name wasn’t actually Harry. It was Anthony Gerard Kelly. Supposedly, he didn’t work. Instead, he banked on Katie and made her do “hardcore” OnlyFans content.
According to Katie, she made up to £45k each week from the OnlyFans site, but has since turned to a life of Christ. Meanwhile, Harry/Anthony may have turned to a life of crime.
In 2024, Katie’s ex was found dead by suicide in Thailand. He apparently moved there after his split from Katie and had a wife there named Sawat Boonsa-ard. His Thai wife said that he fell under an extreme amount of stress because of some serious legal issues.
Allegedly, Harry shot at a cannabis shop and had two arrest warrants for theft and attempted murder. Someone offered him legal help for the 400,000 baht, but they scammed him. They ran off with his money and left him feeling hopeless.
When confronted with this information, Katie said that her ex got caught up in a “gangster lifestyle” in Thailand.
“He did a lot of dark stuff, and he kind of wanted to keep seeking that, whereas I was really trying to escape that and be a better person,” Katie said.
Unfortunately for Katie, she was unable to travel to Thailand to pay her final respects to her baby’s father. She’s under strict bail conditions after a 2025 arrest for assault.
