Lara Trump has publicly dismissed an outlandish online conspiracy theory about her brother-in-law, Barron Trump. The theory has to do with the “air of mystery” Barron carries. Speaking on the latest episode of her show The Right View with Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law addressed the baseless speculation.
Barron Trump’s conspiracy theory debunked by Lara Trump
The conspiracy theory, which Lara Trump debunked, posits that Donald Trump’s youngest son possesses the ability to travel through time, aka he is a time traveller. During Thursday’s broadcast, she expressed astonishment at the reach of the videos promoting the idea. “I’m not trying to ruin anybody or rain on any parades here,” she quipped. “Barron Trump is not a time traveler. Sorry to say it. I’m sorry, I broke a lot of people’s hearts today.”
She went on to challenge the very premise of the theory, asking viewers to identify a single real example of time travel. “Name me one time traveler. Name me anybody who actually can say that that’s a real thing? It doesn’t exist but people have gotten so far off the rails on this ‘Barron being a time traveler’ thing.”
Furthermore, strengthening the argument with a biological fact that she has seen Barron Trump grow up before her eyes. “I’ve known Barron for 18 years, OK, he’s not a time traveler. I’ve seen him grow up, it’s crazy stuff, but I think people love to grab on to conspiracies or things that are very far-fetched like that.”
The conspiracy draws from the work of Ingersoll Lockwood, a 19th-century American lawyer and author. In the late 1800s, Lockwood wrote two children’s books featuring a wealthy young adventurer named Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp, referred to as Baron Trump. The character resides at Castle Trump and embarks on fantastical journeys in The Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and his Wonderful Dog Bulger (1889) and Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey (1893).
Barron, now 20, has deliberately avoided the national spotlight, unlike his father and older brothers Don Jr. and Eric. That low profile has inadvertently given rise to such theories.
