Meghan Markle may have the perfect gift to go viral online. The Duchess of Sussex didn’t leave Australia empty-handed, receiving a unique article of clothing during her recent visit Down Under. The mother of two made a surprise appearance on a YouTube channel while in the country.
Among the gifts she received was a bikini-style Australian swimsuit with the words Aussie Bum written on the back. Meghan joked that it’s the perfect thing for her husband, Prince Harry, to wear should they renew their vows.
Australian YouTubers Sean and Marley had some surprises for the Duchess
It appears Meghan wasn’t the only one in a giving mood during her trip to Australia. The Suits actress visited the set of the YouTube channel Get Down with Sean and Marley. Sean Skeels and Marley Whatarau are two longtime friends of Meghan who have over one million subscribers on that platform. The swimsuit was among the gifts they had for the Duchess. Last year, the pair posted a video called Meghan’s Spaghetti, recreating her single-skillet spaghetti recipe from her show With Love, Meghan. The Duchess gifted them with a basket from her favorite As ever product to express her gratitude.
In their video posted Monday, Meghan said the swimsuit would be for “the love of my life.” She joked that she and Harry “might renew our vows with him wearing these.” Meghan expressed her gratitude to the YouTubers who took time to meet her, and she shared her love for their content.
While Meghan had an appreciation for the gifts, it sounds like guests at her Aussie retreat didn’t. In April, she was labelled as being cheap. That’s because her gift basket for attendees reportedly cost under $200. That pales in comparison to what she supposedly charged some people to see her show, with tickets estimated to be over $3,000 Australian for special access.
That YouTube channel isn’t the only one we saw Meghan on while Down Under. The Duchess appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia.
