President Donald Trump has given a new update on the timeline of the Iran War now that the two-week ceasefire has concluded. The President did not directly address whether the ceasefire with Iran was over, and claimed that the war could go on for another “two weeks or maybe three weeks.” Trump also spoke about his thoughts on Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.

Donald Trump says Iran war could stretch for three more weeks

President Donald Trump has given a new timeline for the war between the US and Iran. The President recently said that the war could stretch for up to three more weeks.

In a phone interview with Hugh Hewitt on Monday afternoon, the President did not directly say whether the ceasefire was over or had been violated by Iran (via ABC). “Well, I can’t tell you that,” the President said when asked about the matter. When asked if Iran’s attack on Monday meant a renewed conflict, the President said, “One way or the other, we win.”

“We either make the right deal, or we win very easily. From the military standpoint, we’ve already won that. You know, you’ve heard me say it a million times, and other people say it. They had 159 ships. Hugh, now they have none. They’re all at the bottom of the sea,” Trump elaborated.

The President further said that war could drag on “probably another two weeks” or “maybe three weeks.”

He further alleged that there was no time constraint that he had in mind. “Time is not of the essence for us,” Trump said. The President also stated that America now had control of the Strait of Hormuz.

When questioned about Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile, he said that it was a pressing concern. “From a standpoint of value, it’s not very valuable. Probably can’t be used. They may not be able to get it,” he said, “I’d like to get it back so that they can’t be tempted.”
