Kylie Jenner arrived fashionably late at the 2026 Met Gala, turning heads in a surrealist Schiaparelli gown featuring a deconstructed design that subtly revealed a plunging corset beneath. Kylie Jenner was wearing a “dropped ball gown” by Daniel Roseberry. Her look perfectly echoed the “Fashion Is Art” dress code for the star-studded evening. The upper portion of the gown featured a skintight, strapless tan corset toile with faux nipples and a sfumato effect. For those unversed, the sfumato is a Renaissance painting technique, most famously seen in Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
A prominent silver lace-up system ran down the spine of the corset, creating a highly structured silhouette. The lower half of the look consisted of a voluminous cream-colored skirt that appeared to be falling off or caught mid-motion. The waistband looked like a dress left open and folded down, embellished with silver grommets and heavy stitching.
Further, the cream-colored satin skirt featured over 2,000 satin stitch balls, 10,000 natural baroque pearls, and more than 7,000 painted pearlescent fish scales, per WWD. The dress took approximately 11,000 hours of embroidery work. Jenner accessorised with an antique silver necklace decorated with rhinestones, pearls, and small hand-sculpted bird heads. She also wore matching chandelier earrings.
Hairstylist Iggy Rosales styled the Khy founder’s dark hair in voluminous Old Hollywood waves with a single thin curl resting on her forehead. Further, she debuted bleached brows, going bold for her beauty look. The rest of her makeup was relatively soft, featuring black eyeliner and a nude lip, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Ariel Tejada. Besides Jenner, her mother, Kris Jenner, and her sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian, also attended the 2026 Met Gala.
