It’s truly the end of an era. The Love & Hip Hop franchise is officially coming to an end after 15 chaotic, messy, and absolutely iconic years. Everyone say thank you to Mona Scott-Young.

There have been rumors floating around for a few months that this could be happening, but VH1 just made it official. They’ve pulled the plug on our beloved show, but there is some good news. Fans will still get one final taste of the beloved reality saga before it rides off into the sunset.

The franchise will offer a limited series; ‘The Final Chapter’

We’ll be honest—the writing has been on the wall that Love & Hip Hop was on its last leg. Love & Hip Hop: New York went off the air during the coronavirus pandemic and never returned. Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood met the same fate. Miami and Atlanta were the last cities standing, and they’ve been holding on for dear life.

Now, it’s all coming to an end. The franchise will wrap this year, and they’re sending them out with a six-part special to celebrate 15 years of drama, music, and all of the juicy storylines that kept us coming back week after week.

“For 15 years, Love & Hip Hop built stars, sparked conversation, and helped define the modern reality television era. Now, cast, creators, and cultural voices come together for a definitive look back – celebrating its impact, unpacking its most talked-about moments, confronting the controversies that shaped the conversation, and examining its legacy,” VH1 shared in a press release.

They continued, “Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter explores the rise of its breakout stars, the business empires they built, the headlines that dominated the conversation, and the franchise’s lasting cultural impact.”

Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter will air on VH1 this fall. They haven’t said exactly who will be featured. Fingers crossed that they roll out the red carpet for its biggest stars. Stay tuned for more details, and prepare to bid farewell to this very iconic franchise.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta airs Tuesdays on MTV at 8/7c, and Love & Hip Hop: Miami airs on Wednesdays on BET at 8/7c.
