Anna Delvey Looks Ahead to Her Next Big Career Move

An infamous Russian con artist is ready to share her story with the world. Anna Delvey rose to prominence over the last decade, posing as a wealthy heiress. She did so to gain access to her share of upper-class social events and art shows in New York City between 2013 and 2017.

The fake heiress has reinvented herself as a media macher since her release from prison. She was convicted by a jury in 2019 on eight charges, including grand larceny. In 2021, she was initially released from jail before being put on house arrest the following year.

Ana has a lot of time on her hands these days and apparently wants to put it to good use. Page Six reports that she’s pitching the idea of a memoir to various publishing companies. Her representative, Peter McGuigan of Ultra Literary, is said to be going around trying to get a book deal for her.

There have been many stories written about Anna since her devious ways came to light. In 2018, Hustler’s writer Jessica Pressler wrote a New York Magazine piece about how she fooled New York’s party people. That article became a 2022 Netflix miniseries called Inventing Anna. Anna’s ex-friend Rachel DeLoache Williams published a New York Times bestseller in 2019 entitled My Friend Anna: The True Story of a Fake Heiress.

Despite her criminal past, Anna could arguably be a bigger star today than she claimed to be years ago. Following an appearance on Dancing with the Stars, there were reports that Bravo should hire her. It’s believed she would fit in perfectly with the likes of Teresa Guidice and the Real Housewives.

It’s unclear exactly what Anna will uncover in the book, but word has it she’ll be penning it herself, without a ghostwriter. Netflix paid Anna over $300,000 for the rights to her story in developing Inventing Anna.
