The Voice has another new member. Ahead of Season 30, the show is adding some more star power in the form of Queen Latifah. The Grammy Award-winning singer will be the fourth coach added to the panel alongside Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Riley Green.
Known for songs like Ladies First and U.N.I.T.Y., she brings not only her expertisze in singing but in showmanship as well. She’s built up a huge career for herself in movies and TV, along with music, capturing an Emmy and a Golden Globe along the way.
Queen Latifah has previously appeared as a judge on America’s Got Talent

Season 30 of The Voice will come in with a lot of hype. The addition of Queen Latifah comes in the same month that Riley joined the team. NBC confirmed her addition to the show on Tuesday. Queen boasts a stellar resume and is also considered a pioneer for female artists and performers. Her experience and wisdom should prove to be invaluable to contestants on the program.
There are now two new faces on The Voice’s coaching team on a show that’s gone through its share of changes over the past year. These new coaches follow Season 29’s sweeping changes, which included three judges competing in a Triple Turn Competition. One of those judges is no longer there is John Legend.
Queen Latifah has an array of knowledge and talent to bring, but advising aspiring singers and performers is not completely foreign to her. She previously served as a guest judge on America’s Got Talent. Queen earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006. Earlier this year, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the Musical Influence category.
Season 30 will feature its share of special appearances along with former coaches and mentors. It premieres in September.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK QUEEN LATIFAH WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE VOICE?
