Something new and innovative is coming to The Voice in 2027. The singing reality competition will be bringing in some celebrities and household names to compete next year. It will be the first time the program incorporates such a format, and there are still plenty of unanswered questions.

What we know is that Keke Palmer will be the host. Queen Latifah, Riley Green and Joe Jonas will serve as coaches. The format consists of a Voice Boot Camp where contestants prepare for blind auditions. There will be a Workroom for strategizing, and a VIP room for others to watch.

The celebrities will range from actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars, though no names have been revealed. Since there are coaches and auditions, I assume it will be celebs not known for their singing. It will likely be up to the coaches to help them out. There will be plenty to talk about in the months leading up to the premiere.

As we await to see who might compete on this new edition of The Voice, there are sure to be countless celebrity names speculated upon. Over the years we’ve seen plenty of reality stars feature in various types of competitions with varying levels of success.

Most reality stars boast a competitive nature and the ability to captivate audiences with their gameplay and personality. With that in mind, here are my top five reality TV stars who would be great additions to The Voice.

1. Boston Rob (Survivor)

He’s best known for his time on Survivor, where he met his wife Amber in All-Stars before winning the show on Season 22. Boston Rob is a reality show icon with tons of experience. He’s appeared on The Traitors, The Amazing Race, and Deal or No Deal Island. His ruthless, take-no-prisoners approach is why shows like Survivor keep wanting him back.

He knows by now how to play to the audience, but putting him on stage to sing would be fascinating. We’ve seen glimpses of his softer side on Survivor family visits, but not like we might see on The Voice.

Perhaps being a dad has brought out his sensitive side, and what better way to see that come out than through his voice. He’s not known for his vocal chops, though he has been known to belt a few tunes on social media to the dismay of his daughters. How incredible would it be to see this man, seen as tough and ruthless on TV, be molded into a singer? Witnessing a new side of Boston Rob would be a sight to see.

2. Chrishell Stause (Selling Sunset)

In the early days of Selling Sunset, Chrishell Stause was the nice girl of the show. She was the more grounded voice of reason on a program full of drama. The more we’ve seen of her on television, the more we realize there are a lot of layers to her personality.

She can be assertive and direct, mixed in with approachable warmth and self-aware humor. Chrishell isn’t afraid to call out bad behavior when she sees it. She also has a self-deprecating humor which is very appealing to audiences.

Although her other half G Flip is a singer, we’ve rarely seen Chrishell sing or perform without them by her side. The expectations would be that she’d have a leg up on the others, but as we’ve seen in celebrity reality shows, sometimes it doesn’t work that way. She’d relish the chance to have bragging rights over her partner, too.

No matter how you slice it, Chrishell is a captivating presence who would add a lot to a celebrity edition of The Voice.

3. Tayshia Adams (Bachelor in Paradise)

She rose to fame as a contestant on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, and to this day Tayshia Adams still has plenty of star quality. Her bright energy and emotional maturity are infectious to watch on TV, while she’s shown tremendous empathy.

Her charisma, meanwhile, would be a lot of fun to see on stage singing, and though singing isn’t her strong suit, she oozes confidence and passion. Those are among the qualities needed to be a strong performer, and any of the coaches would relish working with her.

She’s someone who’s easy to relate to, and her communication skills could be well-suited for a competition like this. Singing is more than just being on pitch, but telling a story that audiences relate to, which Tayshia should excel at.

4. Justine Ndiba (Love Island USA)

On a show filled with big personalities, drama and romantic entanglements, Justine Ndiba stood out during her time on Love Island USA. Amid everything, she remained optimistic, genuine and relatable. Her charm and social grace made her a fan favorite.

At the same time, her athleticism and competitive drive were ideal when she participated in The Challenge. Her hard work and dedication were qualities people adored.

Turning her into a competitive singer would be interesting and perhaps not out of the realm of possibilities given her unique ability to connect with audiences.

Hannah Brown (The Bachelorette)

On The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, we saw authenticity, resilience and fierce determination in Hannah Brown. She doesn’t hide her vulnerabilities, and that is why she’d make such a fascinating contestant on The Voice.

The author is incredibly vibrant in front of the camera, while displaying charisma and charm. As we saw on Dancing with the Stars, she’s also a fierce competitor who will never back down from a challenge.

Like the others, she brings a wealth of reality experience and is someone who would be easy to root for because of how vibrant and genuine she is.

The celebrity edition of The Voice premieres early in 2027. Season 30 gets underway on September 21 and you can stream it all on Peacock.
