Big Brother Season 28 Premiere Date Revealed by CBS

Another season of Big Brother is just around the corner. The reality show is gearing up for its 28th season, and fans now know when it will premiere on CBS. The franchise is coming off its Hotel Mystere theme from last year, and if we know anything about Big Brother, this upcoming season will be filled with more unexpected twists.

The show will premiere with a 90-minute episode on July 9. By all accounts, it promises to be a summer full of chaos and jaw-dropping moments.

BB28 is coming to CBS this summer

You can bet Big Brother superfans will have July 9 circled on their calendar. That’s when we’ll see for the first time what the houseguests for Season 28 bring to the table.

Julie Chen Moonves has been confirmed as the host once again, having held that role since the beginning. In addition, its summer companion program, Big Brother: Unlocked, will return. That will include exclusive footage from inside the house, behind-the-scenes access, and surprise guest appearances.

The Unlocked show will, for the first time, feature a live studio audience. There will be new segments and returning fan favorites that will be on hand. The houseguests for Season 28 have yet to be revealed.

Whoever they are, the bar might be set a little lower than last season, according to past houseguests. Among those critical of the Season 27 Houseguests was Big Brother legend Janelle Pierzina. She called out the contestants for being too scared of making big moves.

Season 28 will be a historic one for the show, as it celebrates a major achievement. This summer, they will become the first series to reach 1,000 original episodes in prime time. Sunday’s episode on July 12 will also be a 90-minute special. The show will air Wednesdays following an hour-long Thursday show with the live eviction and one on Sunday.
