Kate Middleton Branded ‘Secret Weapon’ of Royal Family — Expert

Kate Middleton was framed as the royal family’s “secret weapon” ahead of her solo Italy visit. The Princess of Wales is set to travel to Reggio Emilia for early childhood work this week. A new expert comment claimed the trip showed her value beyond future queen duties. It also marked a major overseas step after years of limited international appearances with Prince William. The assignment was presented as part of her long-running early years work.

Kate Middleton seen more than ‘just a future queen,’ per expert

As per a GB News report, royal commentator Rafe Haydel-Mankoo discussed Catherine’s Italy trip. The Princess of Wales is due to begin the two-day visit on May 13. GB News said the Reggio Emilia visit will focus on early childhood development. Haydel-Mankoo called it an “important milestone.” He said the solo trip showed her “renewed strength” and “her value to the monarchy.” Then, he added, “She is the secret weapon of the Royal Family.”

The report noted that Kate Middleton’s last overseas royal tour was to Boston in December 2022. That trip with Prince William centered on the Earthshot Prize. Meanwhile, her last solo foreign visit was to Copenhagen earlier in 2022. That visit was another fact-finding trip linked to early childhood development. Haydel-Mankoo said the public could now see Catherine as “not just a future queen.” He also called her a “wife, a mother” and a woman carrying “grace and dignity.”

The commentator added that the Italy visit sent a message of “quiet strength and resilience.” According to the report, the trip reassured the public about her role in the royal family. Fellow commentator Richard Fitzwilliams described the visit as “a new normal.” He said it showed she had “got stronger” and was rebuilding confidence. Fitzwilliams also said the trip suggested, “there’ll be more of this.” The outlet said attention could then turn to joint Wales travel. The report added that future overseas travel with Prince William could follow soon.
